Tanzanians were up in arms against the daughter of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga following what she did in New York City.
The country learnt yesterday that Tanzanians were baying for the blood of Rosemary Odinga after she claimed the world’s famous paleoanthropological site, Olduvai Gorge, was in Kenya.
Rosemary has since come out to apologize to Tanzanians for the slip saying she slipped in her speech while addressing an audience at UN headquarters in New York City 7 months ago.
“Good evening! I have just been reminded of an incident which occurred while attending the IYLA conference in New York, 7 months ago.
There was a Freudian slip. Apparently, our brothers and sisters from TZ are alarmed that I have grabbed their Olduvai Gorge.
In Kenya, we equally have a beautiful prehistoric site named Olorgesailie along the way to Magadi.
So, poleni sana my Tanzanian brothers and sisters, your Olduvai Gorge is safe.
That being said, I would like to share the entire speech. It highlighted my efforts, which mainly focus on bringing people together.
